The tie in Indian Wells, right in the second round Sakkari
The Idian Wells draw took place in the early hours of Tuesday (3/8) starting on March 10, with Maria Sakkari getting past in the second round.
Maria Sakkari will not compete in the first round of Indian Wells starting Thursday (3/10) as she went straight into the second round of the tournament as No. 6 on the board.
There the Greek tennis player meets the winner of the match between Irina Begou and Katerina Siniakova and whether she will overcome the obstacle meets one of Kvitova, Osorio (finalist in Monterey last week) or Sasnovic.
In the round of 16 he will then play with either Jaber or Mertens, in the quarterfinals Sampalenka (No. 2 on the board) and Azarenka are the most likely opponents.
If Sakkari’s progress continues through to the semifinals, he will be challenged to overcome the obstacle by one of the Conduit and Bandosa who must overcome that Ostapenko, Osaka or Pegula and Stephens.
