Medvedev is one of the top three tennis players of the season at the moment, Chesnokov believes

Roland Garros semi-finalist in 1989, winner of two Masters series tournaments Andrei Chesnokov spoke about the victory of Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev in the quarterfinals of the tournament in Indian Wells.

The match lasted 1 hour 44 minutes and ended in two games – 6:3, 7:5. Medvedev filed four times in a game and took two games at the reception. In the semi-finals, the Russian will face American Francis Tiafoe. Medvedev won the eighteenth victory in a row this season.

– In the match between Medvedev and Fokina, the Spaniard made mistakes. The first set was comfortably won by Medvedev. Fokina always goes for the ball, plays aggressively and uses every moment to put pressure on the player. You have to be always on the alert and have good legs. Fokina was wrong enough, especially in the end. Now three players stand out in terms of the level of play: Djokovic, Medvedev and Alcaraz. And only then all the rest, – said Chesnokov “Championship”.
