Barbora Krejcikova withdraws from Indian Wells tournament
(Indian Wells) Barbora Krejcikova withdrew from the Indian Wells Masters on Tuesday with an elbow injury.
The world No. 2 said she has been plagued by the injury since the Qatar tournament nearly two weeks ago. She mentioned that the pain worsened during the night, the day before the start of the tournament.
The 26-year-old Czech is the defending champion of the French Open, which begins on May 22.
The Indian Wells Masters are already without world no. .
France’s Alizé Cornet will replace Krejcikova in the main draw in Indian Wells, and a player from qualifying will replace Cornet.
