Canada’s Vasek Pospisil won the first round qualifier for the Indian Wells tournament on Tuesday.

The one who comes to 129and position in the ATP rankings recorded victory in three sets with 4-6, 6-4 and 6-4 in 2 hours 09 minutes ahead of Egor Gerasimov.

Both men were occasionally in exchange for the service. Gerasimov, who occupies 148and equalized in the standings, broke his opponent’s serve twice on an equal number of occasions during the match. Pospisil did slightly better with three serve in four cases.

The Canadian had six aces during the match, but suffered five double faults.

In his next match, Pospisil has an appointment with the Australian Thanasis Kokkinakis.
