Lukashenka and Muscovite bedding. Indian Wells finalists announced

The semi-finals of the WTA 1000 series tough tournament were held in Indian Wells (USA) on the night of March 18.

The world’s first racket, Iga Swiatek (Poland), could not reach the final in the competition. In the 1/2 finals, Iga suffered a devastating loss to Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan, WTA 10) in two sets at 1 hour 17 minutes. Rybakina was born in Moscow and represented Russia until 2018, but later acquired Kazakh citizenship.

Note that Sventek took the trophy on these courts last year.

Another semi-final also did not please. Australian Open 2023 champion Arina Sobolenko defeated Maria Sakkari (Greece, WTA 7) in 1 hour 25 minutes in two sets, not against the self-proclaimed president of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko.

Previously, Sobolenko and Rybakina played in the finals of AO 2023. Then, as mentioned above, Arina took the trophy.
