Novak Djokovic is usually on the Indian Wells board, with Shock or Cherudolo Tsitsipas in 2nd round, possibly his encounter with Medvedev.

In a last-minute surprise, the main dashboard was pulled at the BNP Paribas Open, the first ATP Masters 1000 of the season.

Novak Djokovic (No. 2), who was questionable for his non-vaccination status, appears to have been given the green light by the organization and local California authorities on Tuesday night and has normally been included in the draw.

The draw put Daniel Medvedev (No.1) and Rafael Nadal (No.3) back together at the top of the board, while Russia’s quarter has Stefanos Tsitsipas (No.5).

Medvedev will be appearing in tournaments for the first time as the new No. 1 in the world rankings and has significant obstacles in the way (Popirin, Monfis, Bautista) before a possible clash with Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals of the tournament.

The same goes for the Greek champion, who has to be very strong from the start and is waiting for one of Sok (147) – Cherundolo (No. 100) in the 2nd round, while in the 3rd round he crosses with 25-Karen Hatsanov .

Before the possible confrontation with Medvedev in the “8”, Tsitsipas may meet the trained Cameron Nori (No. 12) in the 4th round.

Rafael Nadal, who ranks 4th, awaits rising Sebi Korda (playing with a qualifier in the premiere) in the 2nd round and crosses in the 3rd round with Daniel Evans (No. 27) and one of Sapovalov ( No. 13), Opelka (No. 17) in the “16” phase.

In the quarterfinals, the unbeaten Spaniard (15-0) this season plays with either 8-Casper Ruud or Yannick Sinner (No. 10), while Nick Kyrgios (No. 132) is also in the Norwegian box.

Novak Djokovic, No. 2 on the board after the unexpected loss to Giri Veseli in Dubai and losing the world No. 1, will only play in his second tournament of the season, facing the winner of the match Gofan-Thompson in the first match.

The date with Andy Murray in the 3rd round is possible if the Briton clears the qualification hurdle in the premiere and 31-Alexander Bublick in the 2nd round.

Nole also has 14-Schwarzman, 23-Isner as possible obstacles in the “16” stage, while in the quarterfinals the most likely seeded opponent is 7-Andrei Rublev before the possible derby with Alexander Zverev in the semifinals.
