Yastremskaya successfully started qualifying by defeating an American in Miami.
Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya (WTA 142) reached the finals of the WTA 1000 series tournament qualifiers held in Miami (USA).
In the first round of qualifying for the competition, Dayana won in three sets against. Kathy McNally (USA, WTA 73) 2 hours 45 minutes.

Dayana kept a 9-hit line and served the game 5-4 in the second set, but McNally timed out and took the set with a tie-break. In the third installment, Yastremska lost 1:3 but won 5 games in a row and closed America.
For the Ukrainian, this is the second victory in his career against the American. Diane and Cathy last played in the Cincinnati tournament in 2021. Then Yastremskaya won McNally in two tie-breaks.
In the final of the qualifiers, the Ukrainian will play with Anna-Lena Fridzam.
