ATP: Tour returns to Asia in full calendar year 2024
The ATP announced the 2024 calendar, which will feature 63 tournaments in 29 countries, including those in Asia thereafter
The ATP Tour has announced the calendar for 2024 with 63 tournaments in a total of 29 countries. The world’s best tennis players will compete in the biggest tournaments on 6 continents in an action-packed 11 months.
What stands out in this new annual calendar, which also includes the Paris Olympic tournament, is the fact that the tour returns to Asia Swing after 2019.
Highlights in the 2024 calendar
- The 2nd edition of the United Cup is an early season mixed team event hosted in partnership with the WTA and Tennis Australia.
- Relocation of the tournament in Los Campos (Abierto de Tennis Mifel) from July to February one week before the Abierto Mexicano Telcel in Acapulco.
- A total of 5 12-day ATP Masters 1000 tournaments will be held in California (Indian Wells), Florida (Miami Open), Madrid (Madrid Open), Rome (Internazionali d’Italia) and Shanghai (Shanghai Masters), after the recent expansion of the tournament under OneVision.
- Revised summer schedule with the addition of the Paris Olympic Tournament.
- Determining the future venue of the existing ATP 250 tournament in Banja Luka in April.
- Back to the traditional Asia Swing with the Japan Open Tennis Championships in Tokyo, but also with the China Open in Beijing shortly before the Rolex Shanghai Masters.
- The 54th edition of the Nitto ATP Finals, which will be held in Turin for the fourth time.
ATP President Andrea Gaudenci spoke about the new 2024 calendar: “Few sports in the world captivate sports fans all year round and in as many global markets as tennis.
We do everything we can to offer tennis fans the best possible experience, just like players do on and off the court. From the United Cup in Australia to the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, 2024 will be another tough but exciting Tour season.”.

The sinner survived. All pairings in the Aus Open 2026 men’s 1/8 final have been announced
All matches of the third round ended on January 24 Australian Open in the men’s singles draw.
Jannik Sinner, number two in the ATP world rankings and the current champion of the tournament, won a hard-fought victory against Eliot Spizziri in four sets, losing 0:1 in the matches. Yannick suffered cramps in the third set, but a break to cover the loft helped him get back into the game.

Reigning Australian Open champion Madison Keys beat former world number one Carolina Pliskova, who returned to the tour after two surgeries. Pliskova played in a Grand Slam tournament for the first time since the 2024 US Open. Keys became only the second active tennis player with more than 125 major wins, after Venus Williams (271).
In the fourth round of the Slam, Keys will play against world number six Jessica Pegula – she defeated American “neutral” Oksana Selekhmetyeva. For the first time in her career, Jessica reached the 1/8 finals in two consecutive Grand Slam tournaments without losing a single set.
Amanda Anisimova, the fourth racket in the world and one of the favorites of the cup, defeated Peyton Stearns without any problems. In the next round, Amanda will meet the Chinese representative Wang Xinyu, who sensationally knocked out the 13th ranked Linda Noskova. Wang Xinyu reached the fourth round of the slam for only the third time in his career.

38-year-old legendary Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic (ATP 4), reached the 1/8 finals at the 2026 Australian Open.
Djokovic lost Botica van de Zandschulp (Netherlands, ATP 75) won his 400th Grand Slam victory in three sets.
