First title for Pavlos Tsitsipas at an ITF tournament

Pavlos Tsitsipas beat Joao Dinis Silva 2-0 in the final to win the Blagnac ITF Juniors title, which is also his first in singles on the ITF Juniors Circuit.

Pavlos Tsitsipas won his first singles title as part of the International ITF Junior Cricuit Tournament in France, making it the absolute winner (5/5 wins) through to the finals.

The 17-year-old Greek tennis player, who is the younger brother of Stefanos Tsitsipas, prevailed in the final of the Portuguese tournament with Joao Dinis Silva 6-4, 7-6(8) and achieved a total of four ITF titles after counting three more in doubles.

In the first round of the tournament, the No. 2 seed easily defeated Frenchman Jules Campanes, who came out of qualifiers 6-3, 6-4 while in the very next phase he defeated the Italian Riccardo Rassi with difficulty 6-0, 6-7(8), 7-6(1).

In the quarterfinals, he defeated France’s Pierre Antoine Fout with a surprise in sets 3-6, 7-5, 6-2finding himself in the “4” and with a new uproar defeating the Romanian but also the No.4 of the board, Konstantin Radu 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
