“I am very sorry that this happened to Andreescu. It just hurt to look at her so traumatized. You can’t help, you just can’t do anything – it’s terrible. I hope she gets better soon, I wish her a speedy recovery,” Alexandrova said after the match.
Naturally, there was no question of any continuation of the meeting. For Bianchi, this tournament is over. Ekaterina made it to the quarterfinals, where she will play with Czech Petra Kvitova.
