Indian Wells: Tsitsipas and Sakkari enter doubles battle
Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari head into the doubles match at Indian Wells alongside Felithiano Lopez and Ayla Tomljanovic.
Maria Sakkari and Stefanos Tsitsipas begin their efforts in Indian Wells in doubles, with the Greek tennis player competing alongside good friend Ayla Tomlianovic and returning to doubles after about a year, while Stefanos Tsitsipas plays alongside Spain for a second straight season with Felithiano Lopez two players who won the Acapulco 500m title.
Tsitsipas and Lopez will be first up against last February’s Marseille Tournament (Open 13) finalists Raven Klaassen (South Africa) and Ben McLachlan (Japan) in a match that is only just beginning 10:30 p.m.
At about 02:00 GR Sakkari is also expected to start the game, which is set to face Petra Martis (Croatia) and Selby Rodgers (USA) with Tomljanovic as his partner.
It is worth noting that both Tomlianovi and Martis will fight earlier (21:00 GMT) and in singles against Sorana Kirstea and Tamara Zidansek.
First for Murray
The program on Friday (November 3) in Central Court begins with Andy Murray beating (for the third time this year) on the qualifier Taro Daniel (21:00 GMT).
Will follow (23:00 GMT) Emma Radoucanu takes on France’s Caroline Garcia in a very interesting match, followed by Garbine Mugurutha against American Allison Riske.
In the other important matches, the match between Iga Sfiodek and Angelina Kalinina stands out, while Simona Halep also premieres against Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Back on the courts for Karolina Pliskova, who will play Danka Kovinic with Morocco, while at the same stadium (Stadion 4) Elina Svitolina will play against the qualified Brit Harriet Dart.
