Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev at a tournament in Miami defeats opponents who are inferior to him in class, said Alexei Selivanenko, Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation, member of the ITF Board of Directors.

In Miami, Medvedev, seeded under the fourth number, beat the 84th racket of the world Spaniard Roberto Carballes Baena (6:1, 6:2) and the 79th number of the Frenchman Kenten Ghali – 6:4, 6:2.

– Each next match always starts from the beginning. What happened in previous games is forgotten when tennis players take to the court. The result of the match is made up of many tiny details. What was there in previous games – on paper, it may look like some kind of factor, but it is not decisive. The fact that Daniil goes easily along the grid is an indicator that he wins in the class of those opponents whom he should beat. This is also an indicator that Daniil is playing just as confidently as in the previous winning streak, Selivanenko told Vprognoze.ru.

In the quarterfinals of the tournament, Medvedev will play with the American Christopher Eubanks (119th racket of the world). The 27-year-old Russian has won three singles titles this season.
