“Medvedev will beat Eubanks, even if he plays very badly” – Chesnokov about the tournament in Miami
Well-known Russian tennis player and coach Andrey Chesnokov believes that the Russian semi-finals at the Masters series tournament in Miami are likely, but Karen Khachanov will have a hard time.
Daniil Medvedev has already won three ATP tournaments in Rotterdam, Doha and Dubai in 2023.
– What are the chances of seeing the Russian semi-finals in Miami? I would like to say that [Франсиско] Cherundolo plays very well and Khachanov will not be easy with him. A tennis player who plays well in America will play against Medvedev, plus now he has just heaven – he has reached the quarterfinals of the tournament. Even if Daniil plays very badly, he will pass [Кристофера] Eubanks. I would like to say that Medvedev needs to work more on technique and tactics. Daniil has been playing tournaments too often lately, but you need to do more than just compete.
I would like to note that [Янник] Sinner is in very good shape right now. I think he will reach the semi-finals with [Карлосом] Alcaraz. This match will be the hidden final of the tournament in Miami,” Chesnokov told Metaratings.ru.
