After their doubles matches, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari begin their efforts in Indian Wells singles, with the Greek champions thrown first into the fray.

Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari entered the Indian Wells with their right hands after both receiving tickets to the second round of the doubles tournament they participated in, and now they are counting down to test their strength in singles.

First in the fight will be World No. 6 Maria Sakkari, who is set to meet Czech Republic’s Katerina Siniakova (No. 55), whose bout is expected to start after 10:30pm on Saturday night Greek time. This is the fifth game between them, with each counting two wins.

Next, world No. 5 Stefanos Tsitsipas takes on American Jack Sock (No. 147) in a match scheduled on 4 in the early hours of Saturday morning. In fact, it’s awaited with particular interest as the two athletes have yet to face each other in their careers.
