Russian and Belarusian tennis players will be admitted to Wimbledon 2023
Wimbledon organizers have said they will allow Russian and Belarusian tennis players to enter the 2023 tournament in a neutral status.
– At present, we intend to accept applications from Russian and Belarusian players, provided that they act as neutral athletes and comply with the relevant conditions. These terms and conditions will prohibit the expression of support for the CBO in any form and will prohibit the participation of players receiving funding from the states of Russia and/or Belarus (including sponsorship from companies controlled or controlled by these states).
These terms and conditions have been carefully developed through constructive dialogue with the UK Government, the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and international tennis stakeholders and are in line with published government guidelines for UK sporting bodies.
It is noted that the decision took into account “the consequences that, in the event of an extension of the suspension, would be detrimental to the interests of players, fans, the tournament and British tennis.” However, the organizers reserve the right to take “appropriate measures” in the event that “circumstances change materially”.
The Russians and Belarusians were suspended from the Wimbledon tournament in 2022 due to the events in Ukraine. For this, the organizers of the competition were fined one million dollars, and the WTA and ATP stripped the tournament of rating points.
Wimbledon 2023 will take place from 3 to 16 July.

Four Ukrainian tennis players were included in the doubles entry list Australian Open 2025.
Ukrainian women will play in the doubles tournament on the courts of Melbourne: Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya, Lyudmila Kichenok and Nadezhda Kichenok. Unfortunately, there will be no all-Ukrainian tandem in Australia.
Kostyuk will perform alongside Elena-Gabriela Ruse at the Aus Open, and Yastremskaya will play alongside Alisha Parks.
Lyudmila and Nadezhda will not play together at AO-2026, although they will start the season with the same duet in the Brisbane 500 meters. It was announced that Lyudmila will be with Katie Volynets, and Nadezhda will be with Makoto Ninomiya.
Australian Open 2026 will take place from January 12 to February 1. Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya and Alexandra Oleynikova will represent Ukraine in singles. Yulia Starodubtseva, Angelina Kalinina, Daria Snigur and Vitaly Sachko will perform in the eliminations.

Russian Karen Khachanov moved from 18th to 17th place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), a new version of which was published on the organization’s website.
The best among Russians remains Daniil Medvedev, located in 13th place, Andrei Rublev is 16th. There have been no changes in the top ten rankings: Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is in the lead, Italian Jannik Sinner is second, and German representative Alexander Zverev is in third.
