Daniil Medvedev took first place in the ATP Championship Race

The winner of the tournament in Miami, Russian Daniil Medvedev, led the Championship Race of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), a new version of which was published on the ATP website.

The Russian tennis player defeated Italian Yannick Sinner in the final of the Masters series tournament and won the fourth title in the last five tournaments in which he participated. Another Russian Karen Khachanov, who lost to Medvedev in the semifinals of the tournament in Miami, moved up to ninth place in the Race. Andrey Rublev retains the 12th position, also in the top 100 are Alexander Shevchenko and Roman Safiullin.

Four Ukrainian women will play doubles at the Australian Open 2026

Four Ukrainian tennis players were included in the doubles entry list Australian Open 2025.

Ukrainian women will play in the doubles tournament on the courts of Melbourne: Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya, Lyudmila Kichenok and Nadezhda Kichenok. Unfortunately, there will be no all-Ukrainian tandem in Australia.

Kostyuk will perform alongside Elena-Gabriela Ruse at the Aus Open, and Yastremskaya will play alongside Alisha Parks.

Lyudmila and Nadezhda will not play together at AO-2026, although they will start the season with the same duet in the Brisbane 500 meters. It was announced that Lyudmila will be with Katie Volynets, and Nadezhda will be with Makoto Ninomiya.

Australian Open 2026 will take place from January 12 to February 1. Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya and Alexandra Oleynikova will represent Ukraine in singles. Yulia Starodubtseva, Angelina Kalinina, Daria Snigur and Vitaly Sachko will perform in the eliminations.

Khachanov moved up one place in the ATP rankings

Russian Karen Khachanov moved from 18th to 17th place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), a new version of which was published on the organization’s website.

The best among Russians remains Daniil Medvedev, located in 13th place, Andrei Rublev is 16th. There have been no changes in the top ten rankings: Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is in the lead, Italian Jannik Sinner is second, and German representative Alexander Zverev is in third.
