Sakkari – Siniakova 2-0: Holds the win and Maria continues at Indian Wells
Despite not being able to match her trusted performance standards, Maria Sakkari managed to beat Siniakova 2-0 and advanced to the third round of the Indian Wells where she will face Kvitova.
Maria Sakkari qualified for the third round of Indian Wells. The world No. 6 may not have achieved high performance standards, but he found a way to beat Sinyakova (No. 55) 2-1 and qualify.
In the next round, Maria Sakkari meets Petra Kvitova (No. 31), who won a difficult set 2-1 against Sasnovic (No. 59).
Sakkari started the match nervously and mostly from one point and then had a problem with her first serve. However, he was not particularly threatened by Shinyakova. Instead, she broke in the eighth game to finish the first set 6-3.
