There are no Ukrainians. The participants of the 1/8 final of the tournament in Charleston have been announced

On the night of April 6, all matches of the 1/16 finals of the clay tournament of the WTA 500 series were held in Charleston (USA).

Unfortunately, Ukrainian tennis players did not make it to this stage of the competition. Former third racket in the world Elina Svitolina played her first match after 12 months after maternity leave in 1/32 against Yulia Putintseva, but lost to her in three sets. By the way, in the 1/16 final, Putintseva lost to Ekaterina Aleksandarova.

Ukraine’s first racket, Angelina Kalinina, also flew away, losing to Anna Kalinskaya in the first round of the competition.

Lesya Tsurenko went further than all representatives of Ukraine. He defeated Paulo Ormaechea in the 1/32 final and lost to the tournament’s second seed Ons Jaber in the 2nd round.
