Russian tennis player Anastasia Potapova admitted that she is very happy with the recent successes of compatriot Daniil Medvedev and believes that he will be able to return to the first line of the ATP rankings.
– Of course, I follow our guys in the men’s tour. I won’t say that I watch every match, but we meet them quite often at different tournaments. We see each other and we all communicate very well.
I am very happy with Medvedev’s recent successes: three titles in five weeks – just an amazing result! Daniil didn’t start the season very well, but then he rallied sharply and went forward. Not everyone can do that. Medvedev proved that he deserves to be the first racket of the world! I think that he has every chance to return to the first position in the ranking. Medvedev is on a streak of five straight finals, winning four of them, including the Masters in Miami. Medvedev is fourth in the ATP rankings and leads the Champions race.
