Grammatikopoulou and Papamichael gave Greece victory over Israel in the Billie Jean King Cup
Valentini Grammatikopoulou and Despina Papamichael defeated Israelis Mika Bandsik and Lina Glusko to give Greece their first Billie Jean King Cup victory.
Valentini Grammatikopoulou put the Greek national team ahead against Israel in their debut Billie Jean King Cup, easily beating Mika Batsnik 6-2, 6-0.
Despina Papamichael did the same, conceding just two games against the Israeli and world No. 271 Lina Glusko in an impressive 6-1, 6-1 that made it 2-0 for Greece against Israel while also clinching the first two points in the Group 2 Group in the Billie Jean King Cup is taking place in Portugal these days.
We remind you that the goal of our national team is to reach the first place in the group, which also means promotion to the 1st category of the competition.
The Greek delegation consists of Maria Sakkari, Valentini Grammatikopoulou, Despina Papamichail and Martha Matoula, while the head of the Greek delegation is Agni Stefanou.
