Djokovic beat the Russians smoothly at the start of the Masters in Monte Carlo
ATP World Ranking Leader Novak Djokovic (Serbia) successfully started the first Clay Masters of the season in Monte Carlo (Monaco).
Serbian tennis player was defeated in the 1/16 final of the competition Ivan Gakhova (ATP 198) operates under a neutral flag. The match lasted 1 hour and 48 minutes.

In the first match, Djokovic was losing by time-out (3:4*), but he managed to get back into the game and squeeze his opponent.
In the 1/8 finals of the tournament in Monte Carlo, Novak will play with Italian derby winner Luca Nardi – Lorenzo Musetti.
Note that Djokovic won the title twice during his career at the Masters in Monaco. The last time he won the trophy on these courts was in 2015.
