Former first racket of Ukraine Elina Svitolina expressed her dissatisfaction with the fact that tennis players from the aggressor and occupying countries – Russia and Belarus – are allowed to participate in the ATP and WTA tournaments.
“We Ukrainians do not understand the decision of the ATP and WTA not to disqualify Russian and Belarusian players. Wimbledon came under the pressure of these two bodies and was eventually forced to surrender – which is sad. I have no relations with neither Russian nor Belarusian tennis players, ”said Svitolina.
