Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev said that after winning his first Masters in his career, he will go to the next tournament with a sense of confidence and a feeling that this barrier has been passed.
Rublev beat Dane Holger Rune 5:7, 6:2, 7:5 in the Masters final in Monte Carlo on Sunday. In the third set, the Russian lost 1:4.
“There is always pressure. I will go now to the Banja Luka tournament and there will be pressure. But at least with a good feeling that this barrier has finally been broken. I will go with a sense of confidence, because even before Monte Carlo this year I felt that finally the tennis work outside of the tournaments that I do is just the same goes in the right direction. I feel like adding. This title is rather confirmation of this. Therefore, even more confidence in how I train and what I do is the direction in which you need to move, – Rublev told the Championship.
The 25-year-old Russian now has 13 ATP trophies on his account.
