Russian tennis player Andrei Rublev said that his head coach Fernando Vicente did not come to the tournament in Monte Carlo due to unforeseen personal circumstances.
Rublev beat Dane Holger Rune 5:7, 6:2, 7:5 in the Masters final in Monte Carlo on Sunday. In the third set, the Russian lost 1:4.
Fernando Vicente was supposed to be here in Monaco, but he had unforeseen personal circumstances. Therefore, yes, he was not in Monte Carlo. He was in Indian Wells, and then there was a second coach in Miami. And here he was supposed to be. But now Fernando will go to Madrid,” Rublev told the “Championship”.
For the 25-year-old Rublev, this is the first victory at the Masters and the 13th title in his career.
