Ukrainian tennis player Martha Kostyuk announced the establishment of a charitable foundation that helps children.

“I recently revisited my hometown of Kiev. Besides warm meetings with relatives and walks to my favorite places, I had a very important job and I can finally share this news with you.

I’ve been working for weeks to create a personal project where I put all my soul and heart. The project is about what hurts for a long time and strongly. The marginalized children of Ukraine who suffer from difficult living conditions, insufficient care, lack of attention, lack of basic conditions and now the tragic events in Ukraine. We brought together all the opportunities, connections and ideas to create the Marta Kostyuk Charity Foundation.

I believe that the best way to show effectiveness is not big words and promises at all, but effective, understandable actions. That’s why the foundation’s history begins with its first charitable venture, a donation to an orphanage in the Kiev region.

Currently, 33 children live in the institution: orphans, displaced children who have lost their parents, children who have just been separated from their families due to conditions incompatible with normal life, violence (for the latter reason we had to blur some photos). During a personal visit, we saw the real needs of children in terms of their life and development. This is where their personalities and attitudes are shaped.

Roof repairs, building insulation, creation of a sports field with an area of more than 400 square meters, educational games and other needs can be seen in detail in the carousel, in the official petition. Amount required for execution $20,000

With the support of our loving friends and partners, I believe we can provide children with everything necessary for their development. Go to the fund page to find the details,” Marta wrote on Instagram.
