Rafael Nadal’s injury will keep him away from the Madrid Open, a message he announced through a VIDEO he uploaded on social media announcing that he will also miss the tournament in Madrid after the Monte Carlo Masters and the Barcelona Open becomes.
“As you know, I suffered a serious injury in Australia. Originally it was supposed to be a six to eight week recovery period and now on the 14th we are.
The reality is that the situation is not what we would expect. We have followed all medical advice but somehow the development has not been as we were originally told and we are in a difficult position.
Weeks go by and I had the illusion that I could take part in tournaments that are the most important in my career such as Monte Carlo, Barcelona Open, Madrid Opan, Rome Masters, Roland Carros and at the moment I missed Monte Carlo and Barcelona Open , but I can’t be at the Madrid Open either”.
The injury still hasn’t healed and I don’t know what to do to compete. I’ve been training but a few days ago we decided to change course a bit, do another treatment and see if things improve to try and get in on the next step. I can’t say when I’ll be back because if I knew I would tell you, but I don’t know.”he said among other things.
