Led by Sventek. Quarter finalists of the tournament in Stuttgart have been announced

On Thursday, April 20, all matches of the 1/8 finals of the clay tournament of the WTA 500 series held in Stuttgart (Germany) came to an end.

World number one Iga Sventek won the first match on clay ground in 2023. At the beginning of performances at competitions in Germany, polka confidently coped with Ren Xingwen in two sets.

Next, Iga will play Karolina Pliskova, who defeated Donna Vekic in three matches.

The second seed of the tournament, Arina Sobolenko, defeated Barbora Kreychikova. AO 2023 finalist Elena Rybakina withdrew after losing the first set against Beatrice Haddad Maia.

Coco Gauff lost to Anastasia Potapova in two games and Alona Ostapenko failed to beat Ons Zhaber.
