(Paris) Crowned Sunday on the clay courts of Stuttgart, the Polish Iga Swiatek still largely dominates the world hierarchy in the WTA ranking published on Monday.
The 21-year-old is more than 2,000 points ahead of her runner-up, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, whom she beat in the final in Stuttgart just like last year.
There was no change in the Top 10.
Further on, the Czech Karolina Pliskova gains two positions, at 15e place. Also taking advantage of the drop of three ranks of the Russian Liudmila Samsonova, now 18eher compatriot Ekaterina Alexandrova climbs one position, to the 17e place.
In the rest of the Top 100, the Spaniard Paula Badosa, world No.2 a year ago, fell 11 positions to settle at 42e position in the ranking.
Briton Emma Raducanu, titled at the 2021 United States Open, loses 17 ranks and falls to 85e global place.
