Maria Sakkari enters the fight of the Madrid Open and meets Arantsa Rous (04/27, 12:00). They have met four more times in the past, with the Greek tennis player winning just as many times

32-year-old Dutch No. 107 Arantsa Roos will be Maria Sakkari’s first opponent at the Madrid Open. The game starts at 12:00 p.m. (Novasports 6 and LIVE on Sportish) in the first game in 3rd place.

The Russian, who came out of the qualifiers, was eliminated 7-5, 6-2 after 1.5 hours, marking her 3rd straight win this year in Madrid and even without dropping a set.

Sakkari and Rous have met four times in the past, with the Greek tennis player winning just as many times after conceding just one set against the Dutchwoman (8-1) and this was in their last clash (2022) at the Parma clay tournament where the Sakkari had to make the turn to take the win 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The winner will face either Donna Vektis or Rebecca Masarova in the next game.
