Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko (No. 77 WTA) completed its performance at the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid.
In the third round, the Ukrainian lost in two matches to eighth seeded Daria Kasatkina (#8 WTA).

This was the fifth match between tennis players, Tsurenko lost for the third time.
Tsurenko held his 40th match against rivals from the top ten in the world rankings and lost the 32nd such match (withdrawn once before the meeting began). After her spectacular victory over Naomi Osaka in Brisbane 2018, Lesia was unable to secure any more wins against the top 10 tennis players.
In the next round, Kasatkina will face off against Veronika Kudermetova or Anastasia Potapova.
