Aleksandrova, Kalinskaya and Potapova advanced to the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid

Russian tennis players Ekaterina Aleksandrova, Anastasia Potapova and Anna Kalinskaya reached the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid.
Kalinskaya in more than two hours in three sets coped with the representative of Kazakhstan Elena Rybakina (7:5, 4:6, 6:2). Alexandrova beat the Frenchwoman Alize Cornet – 7:6 (7:2), 6:3. Potapova turned out to be stronger than Romanian Jacqueline Christian – 7:5, 3:6, 6:2.
In the third round, Aleksandrova will play with Chinese Qingwen Zheng (22nd seed), Croatian Petra Martic (27) became Kalinska’s opponent, Potapova will meet with compatriot Veronika Kudermetova, No. 12 of the tournament.
