Thapata Mirages – Tsitsipas 0: 2: In the quarterfinals with an impressive performance
Stefanos Tsitsipas was excellent (especially in the second set) and easily defeated Bernabé Thapata Mirages (6-3, 6-1) to seal his ticket to the quarterfinals of the Madrid Open.
The ground suits him, as he has proven many times in the past. Stefanos Tsitsipas was excellent again on clay, easily beating Bernabe Thapata Mirages (6-3, 6-1) within 74 minutes to secure a ticket to the quarter-finals of the Madrid Open.
Apart from a few weak serves, Stefanos Tsitsipas dominated the first set, giving his opponent one break after the other. He quickly built his psychology and as he improved his serve, he hit the gas without looking back.
Next opponent, now in the quarterfinals, is Jan Leonard Struff (No. 65 in the world rankings), who overcame the obstacle of Pedro Katsin from Argentina with 2:1 sets (7:6, 6:7, 6:3).
