US Open 2021 Champion Emma Radukanu He performed all three surgeries that he previously reported.

The English tennis player had surgery on both hands and ankles. For the past year, health problems have plagued him, causing him to miss training and competitions.

Former employee of FC Rukh’s medical department Dmitry Babelyuk She spoke about Emma’s diagnosis:

“A unique disease forced Emma Raducana to undergo 3 surgeries!

As it turned out, Emma was diagnosed with carpal protrusion of both hands – this is a specific bone growth that occurs at the base of the index or middle finger.

This growing spur puts pressure on the tendon causing excruciating pain. In Radukan’s case, he was unable to continue playing tennis for more than 90 minutes.

It was decided to perform an operation, the essence of which was to cut the bone growth in both wrists.

The presence of the same spur on the ankle during the examination made the third operation inevitable.

The causes of this disease are unknown. In the initial stages, people are saved with anti-inflammatory, ice and fixatives, but when this does not help, they resort to radical surgery.

Recovery after such surgeries can take up to 3-5 months, meaning Emma will definitely miss out on most of the competitive season.”
