Roland Garros semi-finalist and Davis Cup finalist Andrey Chesnokov called Hungarian Fabian Marozhan’s game the main sensation at the Masters in Rome.
Marozhan, ranked 135th in the world rankings, beat world No. 2 Carlos Alcaras in the third round of the Masters with a score of 6:3, 7:6 (7:4).
– At the tournament in Rome, I was very pleased with the Hungarian Marozshan. He played really well. Just awesome. I had no idea that the 135th number of the ATP rating is capable of showing such brilliant tennis. In addition, this is a good indicator for the whole world that the first racket can give way to the 135th. Although Marozhan played at the top 20 level. And before that, he had quite difficult matches both in qualifying and in the main draw. But the Hungarian gained confidence and found his game,” Chesnokov told Vprognoze.ru.
Marozhan in the next match on May 16 will meet with Croatian Borna Coric (15th seed).
