Medvedev danced after the win and took revenge on Tsitsipas
Daniil Medvedev celebrated match point and a place in the Rome Masters final against Stefanos Tsitsipas by dancing, paying “the same coin” to the Greek tennis player who did the same in Cincinnati in 2022.
Daniil Medvedev and Stefanos Tsitsipas, two athletes in the top 5 (the Greek in 5th place, the Russian in 3rd place), who do not have the best relations with each other, dueled against the background of qualifying for the finals of Rome champions.
In a game that was twice stopped due to rain, Tsitsipas eventually lost 2-0 sets to Medvedev, ending his run in the tournament.
The Russian celebrated his qualification with dancing, just like the Greek did in Cincinnati in 2022.
This was the twelfth time the two have met, with the Russian recording eight wins and the 24-year-old Greek four.
