Roland Garros: Papamichael also gets into the fight for qualification
On Tuesday morning (May 23, 11:00 a.m.) Despina Papamichael will face Moyuka Uchijima in the first qualifying round of Roland Garros.
Despina Papamichael will make her debut against 21-year-old Japanese and world No. 145 Moyuka Uchijima in Paris on Tuesday (23/5) in a match that will open the schedule for 3rd place 11:00 am GR-EUROSPORT for the 1st qualifying round of Roland Garros.
Papamichael will be competing for the second time in her career. She made her debut last year when she failed to defeat Izaleen Bonaventure after a thriller.
As for Papamichael, this is also Uchiyama’s second appearance at Roland Garros, with the former world No. 104 narrowly avoiding the main draw last year and suffering a defeat in the third qualifying round.
The winner of the match plays in the second round against either the Indian and world number 218 Ankita Raina or against the French and world number 393 Emeline Darton.
