Roland Garros: The draw for Tsitsipas and Sakkaris will take place on Thursday afternoon
The draw for the main draw of Roland Garros, in which Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari will take part, will take place on Thursday afternoon (25 May, 3 p.m.).
The countdown to the climax of the clay-court season has already begun with the qualifiers for Roland Garros ending on Thursday (25/5), when the men’s and women’s main draw will also take place (15:00 GMT).
Among them are Stefanos Tsitsipas and Maria Sakkari, with the Greek tennis player ranked 5th and Maria Sakkari ranked 8th.
For the 25-year-old it will be his 7th participation in Paris, with the highlights being the 2020 semi-final and of course the 2021 final, while last year he reached ’16’.
As for Tsitsipas, it will be Sakkari’s seventh time competing at Roland Garros, with her biggest achievement undoubtedly being her participation in the semi-finals of the tournament in 2021.
Carlos Alcarath was placed at No. 1 for the men, Daniil Medvedev at the other end of the table, while for the women, defending champion Iga Sfiodek is at No. 1 and Arina Sabalenka is at No. 2.
The games for the main draw of Roland Garros begin on Sunday 28th May.
