Against Mutsova, Sakkari at the premiere of Roland Garros
Maria Sakkari meets Czech Karolina Mutsova in the 1st round of Roland Garros, who eliminated the Greek in the 2nd round of the competition last year.
The draw for Roland Garros took place on Thursday (May 25), in which Maria Sakkari (No. 9) faced Czech Karolina Mutsova (No. 42) in the tournament’s premiere.

If she qualifies for the 2nd round of the tournament, she will face off against Nadia Podoroska and Jessica Ponce. In the 3rd round she meets Irina Camelia Begu, in the 4th she meets Magda Linet or Belinda Bencic.
In the quarterfinals Sakkari also meets Jessica Pegula Lyudmila SamsonovaPegula’s potential opponent in Round 4.
In the semi-finals, Sakkari’s possible opponent is Arina Sambalenka.
