Rivals of Russian tennis players in the first matches at Roland Garros were determined

The opponents of the Russians in the opening matches of the Roland Garros clay tennis tournament have become known.

The draw took place on Thursday.

The second racket of the world Daniil Medvedev will meet with the winner of the qualification or the tennis player who will get into the main draw as a lucky loser. Andrey Rublev (7th seed) will play Serbian Laszlo Djere in the first round. Karen Khachanov (11th seed) will play with the Frenchman Constant Lestienne, the German Oscar Otte will become Alexander Shevchenko’s opponent.

In the women’s bracket, Daria Kasatkina (9th seed) got German Julie Niemeyer as her opponent in the first round. Veronika Kudermetova, seeded 11th, will face Anna-Karolina Shmidlova from Slovakia, Ludmila Samsonova (15th) will face Kathy Volynets from the USA, Ekaterina Alexandrova (23rd) will face Bulgarian Victoria Tomova, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova will face Czech Linda Frukhvirtova.

Varvara Gracheva (Russia) – Dalma Galfi (Hungary).

Roland Garros main draw matches will start on May 28 in Paris and end on June 11. Russian and Belarusian tennis players will play at the tournament in a neutral status.
