Chilean Penalized for Doping Wins Geneva Cup
Chilean tennis player Nicholas Harry (ATP 54) won the trophy at the ATP 250 series clay tournament held in Geneva (Switzerland).
Chile lost in the final of the competition Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria, ATP 33) in two sets of 1 hour 38 minutes.
ATP 250 Geneva. Preparation Finish
Nicholas Harry (Chile) – Grigor Dimitrov (Bulgaria) [4] – 7:6 (7:1), 6:1
For 27-year-old Harry, this is the third trophy in his career. He won the competition in Santiago in 2023.
Interestingly, Nicholas was suspended from tennis on January 14, 2020. The fact is that at the end of 2019 illegal drugs were found in it, which are considered doping. However, the ITF later ruled that Harry “had no material fault or negligence in his breach”. The suspension period expired on November 15, 2020.
