Rakhimova, Potapova, Samsonova and Kasatkina advanced to the second round of Roland Garros

Representatives of Russia Kamilla Rakhimova, Anastasia Potapova, Lyudmila Samsonova and Daria Kasatkina overcame the first round of the French Open.

Rakhimova at the start of the tournament beat the Czech Sara Beylek with a score of 6:0, 6:3. In the second round, Rakhimova will meet with the Polish Magdalena Frenkh.

Potapova defeated American Taylor Townsend with a score of 6:1, 6:2. Then Potapova will play with the winner of the match Mayar Sheriff (Egypt) – Madison Brengle (USA).

Samsonova defeated the American Cathy Volynets with a score of 6:0, 6:1. The next opponent of the 24-year-old Russian woman will be the winner of the pair Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Russia) – Linda Frukhvirtova (Czech Republic).

Kasatkina beat German representative Jule Niemeyer in two games – 6:3, 6:4. Kasatkina’s next opponent will be the winner of the pair of Marketa Vondrousova (Czech Republic) – Alicia Parks (USA).
