(Paris) The Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is still the N.1 in the ATP ranking published on Monday, the day of his entry into the running at Roland-Garros, where the young Frenchman Arthur Fils arrives in the shoes of 63e worldwide after strong growth.
Alcaraz is still ahead of Russian Daniil Medvedev and Serbian Novak Djokovic in a top 10 which has only one change: the American Taylor Fritz passes to the 8e place after his semi-final in Geneva, ahead of the Italian Jannik Sinner.
Rafael Nadal, defending champion at Roland-Garros, is currently 15e of the classification, but the Spaniard will not be able to defend the points of his fourteenth Parisian coronation, having withdrawn and will disappear from the top 100.
Djokovic and Alcaraz enter the running Monday Porte d’Auteuil, respectively against the American Aleksandar Kovacevic, 114e world, and against the Italian Flavio Cobolli, 159e. The two favorites can meet in the semi-finals.
