Fourteen Russian tennis players have already won tickets to the second round of the French Open.

Of the 15 representatives of Russia who started at the tournament, only Veronika Kudermetova failed, who on Monday lost to Anna-Karolina Shmidlova from Slovakia.

On Monday, Aslan Karatsev, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova, Varvara Gracheva, Anna Blinkova, Diana Schneider, Ekaterina Alexandrova and Elina Avanesyan made their way to the second round, defeating Swiss Belinda Bencic in the first round.

Earlier, Karen Khachanov, Alexander Shevchenko, Andrey Rublev, Lyudmila Samsonova, Anastasia Potapova, Daria Kasatkina and Kamilla Rakhimova also overcame the first round.

The first racket of Russia, Daniil Medvedev, as well as Erika Andreeva and 16-year-old Mirra Andreeva, have not yet started at the tournament.

Russian athletes perform at Roland Garros in a neutral status.
