Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko (WTA 66) advanced to the second round of the 2023 French Open.

Ukrainian lost in 1/64 final of Roland Garros Barbor Kreychikov (WTA 13) 1 hour 29 minutes from Czech Republic.

In game 2, Lesya was losing 0:3 with two timeouts, but she returned to the game and managed to win the duel in two matches.

It was the first meeting of tennis players.

In the next round of the French Major, Tsurenko will play against Lin Zhu (WTA No. 40) or Lauren Davis (WTA No. 52).

This is Tsurenko’s 14th performance at Roland Garros. A Ukrainian’s best result at the French Open is the 4th round (2018).

Interestingly, today, May 30, Lesya celebrates her 34th birthday. After the meeting, the fans congratulated the Ukrainian on his holiday.
