1995 Davis Cup finalist Andrei Chesnokov is not surprised by the defeat of Russian tennis player Veronika Kudermetova at the start of the French Open to Anne-Caroline Shmidlova of Slovakia.
Shmidlova won the match 6:3, 6:1.
– Kudermetova lost to the player, not the sucker. Not surprised by her loss. Because Shmidlova is a solid player. She had good victories. I just estimated that Kudermetova could be beaten. It’s not a sensation, of course. Veronica played two “Masters” great. But alas, it didn’t work out here,” Chesnokov told Sport24.
