Roland Garros: Djokovic defeats Fucovic to reach third round
Despite fighting for a set, Novak Djokovic prevailed 3-0 in Fucsovic’s set and advanced to the third round of Roland Garros.
Novak Djokovic reached the third round of Roland Garros. Nole won a set 3-0 against Fucsovic despite struggling in the first set.
The Hungarian scored some great points, forcing the Serb to inject a lot of energy onto the pitch. Djokovic took advantage of the first break of the game and appeared to be in control in the first set.
But Fuchovic didn’t give up, he got the break back in the ninth game and then equalized the set. Somehow the two athletes got into the tiebreak where Nole won 7-6(2) after a 1.5 hour battle.
The next two sets were easier for Novak Djokovic, who finished the game 7: 6 (2), 6: 0, 6: 3 and thus sealed his third round duel with Davidovic Fokina.
