Taylor Fritz’ outburst and gesture to the world at Roland Garros
Susan Lenglen’s audience loudly booed Taylor Fritz, and he responded with gestures, telling the audience not to speak.
The encounter with Artur Rinderneck proved easy for Taylor Fritz (3-1 set), although one of the obstacles the world No. 9 had to overcome was the hostile crowd of Suzanne Lengeln.
Throughout the match, the crowd showed their support for their compatriot (No. 78 in the world) in every way possible, with Taylor Fritz breaking down in tears after the final and telling everyone to…shut up.
A gesture that enraged the world and which they staunchly rejected. The greatest thing for the American, of course, was something else. Qualifying for the next round of Roland Garros.
