WTA end-of-season calendar: Minor Finals and other tournaments in China
On June 2, the Women’s Tennis Association released the calendar of tournaments that will take place after the 2023 US Open this year:
- 09/11 – 09/17: WTA 250 Osaka / WTA 1000 Guadalajara
- 09/18 – 09/24: WTA 250 Guangzhou
- 09/25 – 10/01: WTA 500 Tokyo / WTA 250 Ningbo
- 09/30 – 10/08: WTA 1000 Beijing
- 10/09 – 10/15: WTA 500 Zhengzhou / WTA 250 Seoul / WTA 250 Hong Kong
- 10/13 – 10/22: WTA Monastery / WTA 250 Nanchang
- 24.10 – 29.10: WTA Elite Trophy Zhuhai (Minor Final)
The date of the final tournament (WTA Finals) is still unknown, but it was held the week after the competition in Zhuhai, before the pandemic began. The preliminary start date for the competition is October 30.
The Chinese Tournament Series is back after a three-year hiatus. Previously, competitions were not held in this country due to the pandemic and the “Peng Shuai case”.
