Rybakina retired from Roland Garros
Elena Rybakina announced her decision to withdraw from Roland Garros after suffering from a virus that caused her breathing problems.
Roland Garros will continue without Elena Rybakina. The athlete from Kazakhstan announced her decision to retire as she is suffering from a virus which has caused her breathing problems.
“I haven’t been feeling well since the day before, so I couldn’t sleep last night and I also had a slight fever. Today I tested in the warm-up and I think it’s the right decision to retire because it’s very difficult to play in these conditions.”said the Kazakh.
Thus, Sorive Tormo survived the fourth round of Roland Garros without a fight and will wait for the winner of the pair between Alexandrova and Haddad Maia.
