French tennis player robbed of 600,000 euros while playing at Roland Garros
The house of French tennis player Luc Pouy was robbed while he was playing at Roland Garros, according to Le Figaro.
The criminals made their way to Puy’s house in Rennes, taking advantage of the absence of the 29-year-old athlete, and stole jewelry and expensive things from him for a total of about 600 thousand euros. The fact of the burglary was confirmed to AFP by the prosecutor of Rennes, Philippe Astruc, and an investigation has been launched.
Puy discovered the loss on his return home on June 2 after losing in the mixed doubles match in the first round of the French Open, where he, together with compatriot Chloe Paquet, lost to the duo Gabriela Dabrowski / Nathaniel Lammons (Canada / USA) with a score of 7:6 (7:3) , 2:6, 8:10.
In singles, Pui, the former world number 10, made it to the main draw through qualification and reached the second round, where he lost to Briton Cameron Norrie – 1:6, 3:6, 3:6.
